How to Read Your Meter

The digital numbers on your electric meter are easy to read. They show your electric usage in kilowatt hours. If you want to know how much electricity you are using over a day's time, or a week's time, for example, record the number at the beginning of the time period and then record it at the end of the time period. Subtract your first number from the second number to determine your usage. With our automated meter reading system, we can look at your usage while you look at it.
